Qualifications and Experience:
- Minnesota special education teaching license, Tier 3 or Tier 4 required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills for adapting to varying student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress toward IEP goals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
