Job Description

Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment, serving students with diverse needs across multiple campuses. Youll work an onsite, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week in varying educational settings. Opportunities are available in autism-specific classrooms, early childhood special education, developmental and cognitive disabilities, as well as itinerant and homebound instruction. Caseloads range from small, focused groups (approximately 4-10 students) to larger classes (up to 19 students), depending on assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is required
  • Experience or passion for working with students with autism spectrum disorder, developmental and cognitive disabilities, or early childhood special education is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to provide services across multiple campuses or in homebound settings
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs, in alignment with IEP goals and district curriculum
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate IEPs in partnership with families and school teams
  • Employ evidence-based strategies to promote student learning and independence
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular progress reports
  • Foster a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth and engagement
