What We're Seeking:

  • Valid MN Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education settings
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner with colleagues, families, and specialists
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, curriculum adaptation, and data-driven instruction
  • Ability to differentiate learning materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Support a caseload of 5-7 students, providing direct instruction and intervention in a 4th-grade classroom
  • Collaborate with other grade level teams if additional support for academic groups is needed
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and support strategies
  • Maintain compliance with state and district requirements for documentation and student records
