• Valid North Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience with K-12 students in special education settings, including inclusion and adaptive programs
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
• Flexibility in adapting to different grade levels and classroom environments
• A collaborative spirit to partner with general educators, therapists, and families

Your key responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized instructional strategies to support students with a variety of needs
• Develop and adapt lesson plans based on IEP goals, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all learners
• Work alongside general education teachers to promote a team-oriented learning environment
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records for compliance and communication with families
• Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and capable
