Make a significant impact in the classroom by providing dedicated Autistic Support as a Special Education Teacher for a middle school program. This contract position is conveniently located near Easton, PA, with immediate need through June 10, 2027. You'll be supporting a small group of eight students and collaborating with a talented school team.
Position Details:
- Contract role, middle school Autistic Support classroom
- Schedule: 7:15am 2:45pm, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week)
- Assignment runs ASAP through June 2027
- Manage a caseload of 8 students
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break daily
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school students is required
- Proven experience with middle school-aged students, particularly in Autism Support or similar settings
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Ability to adapt to individual IEP requirements and collaborate with classroom aides and related services staff
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and safe classroom environment
- Implement behavioral strategies and support positive student outcomes
- Provide regular updates to parents and collaborate with school personnel
- Monitor student progress and maintain necessary records
