Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting in Easton, Maryland. This is a full-time opportunity for the current school year through June 2027.

Position Details

  • Location: Easton, MD
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: June 16, 2027
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Setting: 1 elementary school
  • Classroom: Co-taught elementary classroom
  • Position Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with the general education teacher in a co-taught classroom
  • Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Support students in meeting their academic and IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff and families as needed

Qualifications

  • Maryland Certified Elementary Special Education Teacher
  • Experience in an elementary special education or co-teaching setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to supporting students' academic and social-emotional development
