Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities and learning profiles
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering a supportive and respectful classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs), tailoring instruction to students unique needs
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure coordinated services
• Assess student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and report outcomes
• Create an environment that encourages student participation, independence, and growth
• Adapt curriculum materials and integrate assistive technology as needed
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and behavioral skills
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
