A school district in Durham, NC, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting by implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and deliver differentiated instruction that meets the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to adjust instructional strategies effectively
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education policies and procedures

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure applicable to the state of North Carolina
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a K-12 school setting
- Knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and IEP development
