What were looking for:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education License
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher (high school experience preferred)
- Strong skills in behavioral management and individualized instruction
- Dedication to providing inclusive, differentiated learning experiences
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to high school students on your caseload
- Employ positive behavioral interventions to encourage student growth
- Track progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district requirements
- Partner with general education teachers, families, and service providers to create a positive learning atmosphere
