Make a meaningful difference in students lives by providing vital support and instruction as a Special Education Teacher for grades K12. This contract opportunity is available in the Dover, NH area, with positions spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade. Licensed Special Education Teachers in New Hampshire are needed to finish the current school year, with strong potential for roles to continue through the 2026/2027 school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License required
- Experience working with students in grades K5, 68, and/or 912
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration abilities with staff, parents, and administrators
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in diverse classroom settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students IEPs
- Assess abilities, monitor progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Support students academic, behavioral, and social development
- Maintain thorough documentation for compliance and reporting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
