Job Description

This contract opportunity is available for four dedicated Special Education Teachers to work in resource rooms at various grade levels or in a program designed for students with mental health and behavioral needs. Youll collaborate with colleagues and families to provide individualized learning and foster a supportive, inclusive classroom. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a manageable caseload, ensuring students get the attention they deserve.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
  • Experience teaching special education, preferably in resource or self-contained environments
  • Ability to manage caseloads of 10-16 students, including evaluations, IEP development, and progress reports
  • Strong communication skills for regular collaboration with staff and families
  • Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies (for program-specific positions)
  • Organizational skills for handling documentation and case management duties
  • Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to assigned students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct and report on evaluations, as well as participate in regular meetings
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to support student progress
  • Foster positive relationships and provide meaningful feedback to students and families
  • Maintain organized records and timely reports for all assigned cases

This is a full-time contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, scheduled for 32.535 hours per week, aligning with standard school hours (7:30 AM - 2:20 PM, September 1 through June 16).
