Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to serve middle and high school students in a dedicated learning environment in Dover, NH. This onsite, full-time contract position involves supporting the educational needs of students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs), and fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students in middle and high school special education programs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to meet IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in meetings with parents, educators, and administrators to support student success
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and district policies related to special education
  • Adapt teaching materials and instructional strategies to address individual student needs

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license (please include a copy of the license and endorsements with your application)
  • Experience working with middle and high school special education students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Location: Dover, NH (onsite position only)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
