We're seeking dedicated professionals for three Special Education Coordinator rolesserving High School, Middle School, or Early Childhood students (birth to 5th grade). These full-time, onsite contract positions offer an exciting opportunity to support learners across different age groups and collaborate with a committed educational team near Dover, DE.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Continuing license preferred or at least 3 years teaching experience in Delaware (including completion of the Comprehensive Induction Program)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the offered position
- Valid Tuberculin Test and physical examination
- Enrollment in Direct Deposit for payroll
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for special education
- Oversee support services tailored to student needs across different grade and age levels
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide leadership and coaching to support staff and teachers within your assigned caseload
- Participate in school-based meetings and professional development to enhance special education programming
