Job Description
This opportunity seeks experienced Special Education Teachers dedicated to supporting young learners in an early childhood setting. The positions are contract-based for the current school year, located onsite in Dover, DE, working with children aged 3 to 4 years identified with autism and/or developmental delays.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student within the caseload.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development and collaborative meetings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher license.
- Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly with autism and developmental delays.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and teamwork.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite in Dover, Delaware.
- Schedule: Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
- Duration: ASAP start through the end of the school year.
- Caseload: Varies depending on candidate; multiple openings available.
