Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students who have IEPs and diverse learning abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to create, adapt, and implement customized lesson plans
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding special education
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning requirements
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education laws and district policies
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student confidence and achievement
