Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with mild to moderate learning challenges
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Develop tailored learning strategies in collaboration with support staff and general education teachers
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and relevant professional development
- Cultivate a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Communicate regularly with families to share progress and strategies for continued success
