Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching credential (state-specific requirements must be met)
- Experience working with students in early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school; flexibility welcomed
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and familiarity with adapting curriculum to various learning needs
- Strong communication skills for building relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members
- Organized and adaptable, capable of managing diverse caseloads and grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to classes or small groups of students from Pre-K through grade 12, based on assignment
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize effective instructional strategies for a range of learning differences and behavior management techniques
- Regularly assess student progress, documenting growth and making data-driven modifications to support optimal learning outcomes
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence
- Maintain clear communication with caregivers and school personnel, supporting student success both in and out of the classroom
