Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a self-contained classroom environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity allows you to see the direct results of your expertise while working with a diverse and high-need student population. You'll collaborate with fellow educators to foster an inclusive, growth-oriented atmosphere for learners with learning disabilities (LD), severe autism (AU), and other significant needs, all within mixed-grade classrooms.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching license
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with learning disabilities, severe autism, and high-needs backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, adaptable teaching approach
  • Commitment to differentiated instruction and individualized learning plans

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction in a self-contained setting with no behavioral management requirements
  • Design and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to a wide range of abilities
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom culture that supports every students growth
