Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement.
  • Experience teaching or student-teaching at the elementary level, especially with K-1st students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time, onsite schedule.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of seven K-1st grade students with ASD.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each students needs and IEP goals.
  • Collaborate regularly with paraprofessionals, behavioral specialists, and other members of the Special Education team.
  • Create a welcoming, structured, and inclusive classroom environment promoting academic and social growth.
  • Communicate progress with parents and participate in team meetings to support student development.
