Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification, with emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder Certification
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a K-1st grade setting
  • Demonstrated ability to create individualized education plans and implement tailored instructional strategies
  • Strong communication skills to partner with paraprofessionals and wider school staff
  • Commitment to onsite, full-time presence for the duration of the contract

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and individualized interventions for students with ASD, fostering both academic and social-emotional growth
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary school staff to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor student progress, update IEPs, and participate in team meetings to adapt strategies as needed
