Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
• In-depth understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
• Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to help students succeed academically and socially
• Work closely with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and provide accommodations as required
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and IEP goal attainment
• Engage regularly with families, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success
• Participate in professional development consistent with school and district guidelines
