The school is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher who is passionate about individualized instruction and collaboration.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction in a self-contained classroom for students in 3rd and 5th grades
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on data and student response
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and all state/local special education regulations
- Work alongside paraprofessionals and support staff to maximize student success
- Establish productive relationships with students, parents, and the school community
