Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary and middle school students in a self-contained classroom setting. The position is full time, with a traditional five-day workweek, so you can build lasting relationships and see your students grow.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid LBS1 endorsement is required
- Previous experience working in self-contained special education classrooms is highly valued
- Comfortable teaching students with diverse abilities and adapting curriculum to individual needs
- Strong classroom management skills and keen observational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff, families, and fellow educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary or middle school students in a self-contained environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages learning, independence, and social-emotional development
- Communicate regularly with paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to support each student's goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
