Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience or strong desire to work in K-1 settings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, families, and students
- Adaptability and commitment to meeting individualized student learning goals
- Willingness to work onsite
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction for students in Kindergarten and 1st grade
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with team members
- Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages academic and personal growth
- Communicate regularly with families and colleagues to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
