Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026 school year (AugustJune) at an Oregon coastal community. Multiple full-time positions are available, each focused on empowering and guiding young learners in structured school settings. Youll work at one designated school, with manageable caseloads and varying age groups based on assignment.
Openings include:
- Yaquina View Elementary (K2): Caseload fewer than 20 students, no instructional assistant.
- Siletz Valley Charter School (K12): Approx. 35 students, 2 instructional assistants provided.
- Waldport Middle/High School (Grades 712): Approx. 35 students, 2 instructional assistants provided.
- Taft Elementary (Grades 36): Approx. 25 students, 1 instructional assistant provided.
What were looking for:
- Valid Oregon Special Education Teacher license (required)
- Experience working in Special Education settings (elementary, middle, or high school)
- Strong case management and IEP development skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for students with diverse needs
- Positive communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Role responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs
- Deliver direct instruction and modify curriculum as needed
- Track student progress and report outcomes
- Collaborate with instructional assistants (as assigned), general education teachers, and families
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment
