Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field (required)
• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement in Colorado (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience with individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapting lesson plans for varied learning requirements
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Previous classroom experience preferred; new graduates with relevant credentials are also encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their IEPs
• Develop and implement customized strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation
• Adapt instructional materials and modify the curriculum to support individual student needs
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech/language therapists, occupational therapists, and school psychologists
• Engage with families to communicate student progress and participate in IEP meetings
