Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in the North Denver area for the 2026-2027 school year. Full-time contract opportunities are available across several grade levels and specialized programs, with positions based at elementary, middle, and high school campuses. These roles focus on center-based programs and specialized learning services, ensuring meaningful impact for students with unique needs.
What we're seeking:
- Current Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education
- Experience in special education settings, center-based programs, or structured learning environments
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet students' individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills to work with general education staff and related service providers
- Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning communities
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Develop and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress toward goals, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster positive, supportive classroom environments for students with affective, social-emotional, and structured learning needs
- Participate in school-based meetings, professional development, and interdepartmental collaboration
- Provide consultative and direct services across a range of ages, from elementary through high school
Full-time assignments (35+ hours per week) will be for the entire 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 11, 2026, and concluding May 20, 2027. On-site presence is required; opportunities are available at four locations in the North Denver metro region.
