Job Description

This full-time position spans from August 6, 2026 through May 26, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week). You will be assigned to a single school within the district, with specific classroom assignments finalized soon.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree is required
  • Active Colorado Department of Education certification with relevant endorsements, such as:
    • Early Childhood Special Ed (Grades P32)
    • Special Education Generalist or specific endorsements for Affective, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, or Severe Needs/Life Skills
  • Prior experience working with school-age Autism populations
  • Must pass district background check and fingerprinting requirements

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction to students with special needs, tailoring approaches based on IEP goals
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to maximize student success
  • Participate in IEP development and meetings, progress monitoring, and data tracking
  • Engage in ongoing professional communication and collaboration within the school community
  • Support functional academics and life skills development as required by specific student caseloads
