Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active Colorado Department of Education teaching certificate
• Background in Special Education; experience with affective needs is highly desirable
• Comfort with elementary-age students and diverse learning profiles
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning space

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction, guidance, and behavioral supports to students in a center-based affective needs classroom
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress toward set goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families on tailored interventions
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods for varied learning needs
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with district and state standards
