Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Denver, CO, supporting students with individualized educational needs in a dedicated special education classroom. This onsite role involves working closely with students to provide tailored instructional services that meet their IEP goals, updating and developing IEPs as scheduled, and fulfilling case management responsibilities. The position requires a skilled teacher able to effectively assume mid-year caseloads and maintain continuity of services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct special education instruction tailored to students needs.
  • Developing, reviewing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with regulatory timelines.
  • Managing case-related documentation and maintaining compliance with special education laws.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure comprehensive student support.

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Valid Special Education Certification for the state of Colorado.
  • SSP (Significant Support Needs Paraprofessional or equivalent) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to take over mid-year caseloads and quickly adapt to existing student needs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a student-centered approach.
