An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher dedicated to supporting middle school students through effective IEP implementation and individualized instruction. This contract position for the current school year is based in Denver, CO, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience of students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning requirements.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning challenges in a middle school setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families to ensure coordinated and inclusive educational strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities focused on special education best practices.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Proven experience working with middle school students in a special education environment.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and instructional methodologies.
- Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
