Job Description
Located in Denver, CO, this full-time Special Education teaching opportunity serves K-12 students across multiple schools within a local district. These contract positions support diverse learners with a variety of special education needs, with assignments available immediately through the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs, including affective needs, significant cognitive challenges, and learning differences.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and school staff.
- Uphold district policies and compliance with state regulations.
Assignments include:
- Affective Needs Teacher at an elementary school.
- Learning Specialist roles at middle and P-8 schools.
- Significant Support Needs (SSN) teacher for students with substantial cognitive disabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students requiring special education services.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs.
- 0-10+ years teaching experience considered; pay range adjusted accordingly.
Location: Multiple schools across the Denver area.
Contract Length: Immediate start through May 22, 2026 (school year duration).
