Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in kindergarten through first grade. In this contract role, youll manage a dedicated classroom with a manageable caseload of 7 students who thrive with structure and individualized instruction. Youll collaborate closely with two experienced paraprofessionals in your classroom and benefit from strong building and special education team support to ensure your students have every opportunity to succeed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification with Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement (ASD)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children, particularly K-1
  • Knowledge of individualized instructional strategies for students on the autism spectrum
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with paraprofessionals, staff, and families
  • Must be available for a full-time, onsite position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-1 students on your caseload
  • Foster a nurturing, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related services, and building teams
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet evolving needs
  • Engage in regular communication with families and support networks
