As a certified Special Education Teacher with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder, your skills will help shape a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification with Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in grades K-1.
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively.
- Demonstrated skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction.
- Familiarity with best practices for supporting students on the autism spectrum.
- Must be able to work onsite and commit to full-time hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and tailor educational plans for a caseload of 7 students, focusing on academic, behavioral, and social goals.
- Collaborate daily with two paraprofessionals to deliver effective individualized instruction.
- Participate actively in team meetings, working closely with building and special education staff.
- Engage families as partners in student learning and progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with education standards.
