An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher certified in Autism Spectrum Disorder to support young learners in an elementary school setting. This full-time contract position is based in Dearborn, MI, and focuses on providing dedicated educational services to students in Kindergarten through 1st grade, with a specialized caseload of seven students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized instruction tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special education needs.
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals and utilizing a team approach to support student success.
- Developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to meet academic and behavioral goals.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participating actively in the school's special education team and contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher with Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in early grades.
