Bring your expertise in special education to a rewarding contract role serving middle and high school students with diverse abilities. This position focuses on cross-categorical special education, supporting students with a variety of mild-to-moderate disabilitiesincluding learning disabilities, emotional/behavior disorders, and mild intellectual disabilitiesall within an inclusive classroom environment. You'll play a pivotal role in fostering academic growth and emotional well-being, ensuring each student has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
• Strong background and hands-on experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated instruction and adapt curriculum for varied learning needs
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families
• Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring

Role Responsibilities:

• Guide and support middle and high school students in a cross-categorical classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to diverse abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive environment
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates to families
• Provide structured behavioral and academic interventions as needed
• Foster positive relationships and promote an atmosphere of respect and encouragement
