Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Texas Special Education Teacher License (TX SPED License)
• Familiarity supporting students with autism, sensory processing differences, social/emotional disorders, and those who are non-verbal or have a range of functioning levels
• Experience working with Assisted/Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices
• Comfortable with toileting provision and personal care
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and supervise up to 12 students in a self-contained classroom
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning strategies to accommodate varying student needs
• Support students with both academic instruction and life skills training
• Manage and utilize AAC devices and sensory supports as required
• Collaborate with fellow professionals, related service providers, and families to ensure student progress
• Provide a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
