Two positions are available: one working with a Kindergarten through 2nd Grade elementary autism classroom, and another with a PreK class, both of which are self-contained and benefit from dedicated para support. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid SPED License (applications from candidates with emergency or pending certifications are welcomed)
• Open to teachers currently in the Teachers of America or ITeach programs
• Previous experience in special education is highly valued
• Confidence working with self-contained classrooms and managing diverse student needs
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff to create supportive instructional strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students within self-contained elementary (Autism, K-2nd) or PreK classrooms
• Adapt lessons to meet the unique learning and behavioral needs of students
• Maintain IEP documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with education standards
• Collaborate with support staff, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Cultivate an inclusive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
