Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching students with disabilities or in an inclusion environment preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with staff and families
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning abilities
• Assess students progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as needed
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other support staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and challenges
• Create a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student confidence and success
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
