Desired Background & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience with elementary (K-2) students, especially those with Multiple Disabilities or similar needs
• Skilled in implementing differentiated instruction and individualized accommodations
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills to maintain routines and safety
• Adaptability and compassion in supporting a range of learning styles and abilities
• Familiarity with IEP implementation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and modify curriculum lesson plans for students with varying abilities, ensuring alignment with IEPs
• Provide effective academic support and individualized instruction to meet each childs needs
• Maintain consistent communication with families and educational partners
• Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as necessary
• Ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care during the regular teachers absence
