Job Description

This opening is for a dedicated professional to serve as a Long Term Substitute Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, specializing in Pre-K, from August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026. Youll work with a manageable caseload of 1015 preschool students inside one welcoming building, collaborating with peers and providing essential learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required)
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children and diverse learning needs
  • Strong skills in differentiated instruction and classroom management
  • Ability to build supportive relationships with young students and their families
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instructional services to Pre-K students following individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement adaptive curriculum and behavioral strategies within a structured environment
  • Collaborate with faculty, therapists, and families to foster student progress and growth
  • Track student performance, provide feedback, and support successful transitions
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements for special education
  • Promote a nurturing and inclusive classroom culture
