Qualifications:

  • Valid Bachelors degree (BA)
  • Active Oregon Special Education Teacher license
  • Previous experience in Life Skills or Special Education settings preferred
  • Adaptable mindset and willingness to work in various school environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Dedication to meeting the unique needs of each student

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students in Life Skills programs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
  • Maintain accurate records on student progress and report regularly to administration
  • Integrate instructional strategies that promote independence and social development
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
