This contract opportunity, beginning this school year and potentially extending beyond, offers the chance to work with a dedicated team in a rewarding environment near Creswell, OR. You'll collaborate closely with supportive paraprofessionals to ensure that each student receives the individualized attention they deserve.
In this role, youll serve children with mild to moderate disabilities, with a caseload of approximately 32 students. Some students spend most of their school day in a specialized classroom setting, while others join regular classes and receive targeted support as needed. Your expertise will help create an inclusive, nurturing educational experience for all.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Oregon Teaching Certification required
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students, preferably in special education
- Knowledge of IEP development, instructional adaptations, and documentation
- Flexible, collaborative approach to working with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate attitude
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction in both self-contained and inclusion settings
