Make a meaningful impact as a part-time Special Education Teacher supporting a homebound student near Cranston, RI. This contract position involves direct instruction for a student in need of individualized special education services. Youll work closely with families and educational teams to ensure effective learning in a home-based setting for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience in delivering instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to modify and adapt curriculum based on IEP objectives
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Prior experience working with homebound or medically fragile students a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person instruction to a homebound student three times per week (1 hour per session)
• Implement and document individual education plan (IEP) goals and objectives
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment tailored to the students needs
• Regularly communicate progress and collaborate with parents, caregivers, and school staff
• Maintain timely and accurate records of sessions and student progress
• Adjust instructional methods based on assessment data and student response
