Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized instruction and support to students with unique learning needs in a dedicated early childhood and elementary intensive skills classroom, with a focus on serving students on the autism spectrum. This full-time contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 25, 2025, and is based onsite in a supportive school setting near Cottonwood Falls, KS.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
• Recent experience in special education, particularly with early childhood and/or elementary populations
• Familiarity with intensive skills classrooms and working with students with autism
• Strong communication skills when collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Ability to adapt lessons and instructional approaches for diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction for students identified with significant needs, primarily serving early childhood and elementary-aged children
• Develop, implement, and track goals for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to create an inclusive and effective learning environment
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialized service providers
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and necessary documentation
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based activities
