Job Description

As an itinerant professional, you will play a vital role in providing expertise, guidance, and direct support to students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges during the 2026-2027 school year. Your skills will help shape safe and supportive learning environments where every student can thrive.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (required)
  • Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
  • Experience as a school-based behavior specialist, BCBA, or similar highly valued
  • Background in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Ability to support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs using data-driven strategies
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with school teams, parents, and staff
  • Preferred credentials include licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling

Role Responsibilities:

  • Travel between multiple schools/districts supporting K-12 students with behavioral needs
  • Conduct thorough FBAs and develop individualized BIPs
  • Implement research-based interventions and collect relevant data
  • Provide coaching and training for school staff on effective behavior practices
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary educational teams and families
  • Assist with crisis intervention as needed and promote a positive school climate
