This contract, part-time position focuses on supporting students in self-contained classrooms within an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program. You'll enjoy a structured schedule that includes a dedicated paperwork or meeting day each Monday and opportunities to serve as a float substitute as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Special Education Teaching License (IL SPED License required)
• Prior experience working in self-contained classrooms or Early Childhood Special Education programs strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively manage paperwork and participate in documentation and team meetings
• Flexibility to float between classrooms and cover varying schedules as needed
• Familiarity with district or state requirements, such as PEL or Para Certification, is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality instruction and provide individualized support to students in self-contained settings
• Implement IEPs and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Participate actively in Monday paperwork/meeting days for documentation and collaboration
• Serve as a float substitute teacher within the ECSE program when available
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators to ensure consistent student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that meets the unique needs of every learner
