Step into an impactful position supporting elementary students in a specialized setting focused on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise in a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom, working with a manageable caseload of approximately six students in grades 35. What were seeking:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License; EBD licensure highly valued
- Proven experience in high-needs behavioral or center-based classrooms
- Confidence in developing and implementing IEPs, BIPs, effective progress monitoring, and a variety of classroom interventions
- Outstanding classroom management, with strength in de-escalation tactics
- Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
- Preference for candidates with familiarity in Setting III or center-based classrooms, and exposure to PBIS, CPI, trauma-informed practices, and elementary-age behavioral support
What you'll do:
- Deliver instruction and foster positive behavioral and social-emotional outcomes for a select group of students
- Maintain compliance with all special education procedures including documentation, IEP meetings, and parent communication
- Collaborate with classroom support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Proactively address behavioral concerns, implement intervention plans, and monitor student progress
- Champion a safe, structured, and motivating classroom environment that supports every learners success
This full-time contract runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
