Job Description

Exciting opportunity for dedicated Special Education professionals seeking a meaningful contract role for the 2026-27 school year! This full-time position offers the chance to work in a supportive educational environment serving students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Beginning August 31, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, youll play a key role in a Setting 3 classroom with approximately 6-10 students. With a consistent assignment in a single building, youll have the chance to engage deeply with your students and collaborate closely with colleagues.

Ideal candidates should bring experience, passion, and specialized endorsements to the tablehelping make a difference in every students educational journey.

Qualifications:

  • Minnesota teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Previous experience working in special education, especially with ASD and/or DCD populations
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction tailored to students individual goals
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to support learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress
  • Maintain a safe and positive classroom culture
