Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active Exceptional Children Teaching Certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and the ability to implement individualized programs
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Passion for developing supportive, inclusive classroom environments
- Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and a student-centered mindset
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate diverse needs of exceptional children
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction to maximize success
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student growth
- Advocate for students, promoting positive behavioral supports and differentiated instruction
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
